Pine we currently have an overrun of pine as of 02/27/07 we
currently have over five thousand square feet available in 5.25" and 7.25" with a micro bevel
slight blue staining makes a beautiful floor !!!
SECONDS:
6000 +/- feet on hand: sold as mixed width 3 1/4", 5 1/4", 7 1/4". Heavy on the wider boards.
Seconds due to: not enough heart wood to make first grade, machining defect such as incomplete edge (this gives a small gap between boards, often unnoticeable), slightly thin boards (useable), cracks which might want some
gluing, Unusual defect which sometimes is gorgeous such as purples and blues, bark on back of board- (face is useable- bark is just 'there' and won't make my #1 bundles) and so on.
We have seen these boards used to very good effect in rustic applications, shops, art galleries and entire homes which have come our really well. They take a bit more art, more putty, some glue and patience but the result can be a really nice floor.
I hate inventory so I move it out! Your gain.
GOOD CHEAP PINE FLOORING!
We buy up old stocks of pine decking from many closing/slow mills in our area and our savings go straight to you. We re-dry these to 6-8%, machine them to our standard profile and chop and bundle them. Same great process, just a good deal for you. Essentially reclaimed, some would say they are: ‘Somewhat soft’. Maybe but great looking and kind of comfortable too!
This Ponderosa Pine floor should still last 40 years or more! Pine will wear, but it can wear a long, long time. We’ve all seen ancient pine floors in old bars, shops, barns, homes. This stuff isn’t perfect but it goes together well, sands (or not!) and finishes up very nicely.
At times we will be making these floors from at-risk trees from FSC, state and Federally certified forests. You can rest assured that this wood is actively green meaning it supports healthy forests, lands, economies and environments. If it doesn’t Old Wood won’t have anything to do with it!
Sizes: ¾” x 3.25, 5.25 and 7.25 inches or ¾” x 3.5, 5.5 and 7.5 depending on the source. Kiln dried to below 10% usually to 6-8%. Bundles are 7’6” long and boards are random length to 18”.
Price: $1.65-$2.
Options are available such as micro-bevel and pillowed ends, wire brushed, pre-stained and oiled. Call for our very reasonable pricing.
Seconds as low as .50 per sq.ft. (not recommended to ship as the freight outweighs the benefits!).
