Flooring will be delivered to your doorstep by lift gate truck generally within five working days.
 
Price: for a 500 square foot order which is about 1000 lbs. cost will be between .32 to .50 per square foot or $320 to $500. You pay us directly and we pass on our full discount to you.
 
For larger orders the price per sf will go down while on smaller orders it will go as high as .75 sf. 
 
To the west coast figure .42 while to the east coast from NM you will be closer to .50. Urban areas such as New York City incur higher charges sometimes.
 
Smaller orders may be shipped by UPS and will be at standard rates.
 
You may request residential delivery and/or a lift gate truck. These will each cost about $50 so add $100 for a lift gate, home delivery, or unload straight off the truck. More options below.
  
Flooring is bundled in what are known as nested bundles and wrapped with heat sealed plastic strapping.
  
Bundles are individually labeled and are generally between 16-22 square feet per bundle.

Flooring is put onto a hand built pallet, wrapped in plastic and recycled cardboard, 
  
Strapped with plastic strapping which can be cut with scissors or a pocket knife. 
 
For delivery day you need to have help on hand appropriate to be able to handle the amount of wood being delivered in a timely manner. Drivers are generally very helpful and we use only national level professional carriers for our main hauls, but local deliveries are often jobbed out to the local freight forwarder. 
 
Sometimes you can save money by picking up at a freight dock. Beware; you are entering the truck drivers world and it can be somewhat unpleasant if not downright unfriendly in my experience. They are required to be pleasant if they are being paid to deliver!
 
Be sure to contact your local shipper and let them know you are expecting them; if it will be raining and you don’t have covered facilities, put it off for another day but do it the day before or very early if you have gotten a drivers cell phone number! Do not get your wood wet. Period. 
 
On arrival, you can cut the straps holding the bundles on the pallet in the truck or on the ground if you have gotten a lift gate. Then you will have to hand offload to your crew. Do not plan to take the bundles a long ways into the house or structure but rather simply stack them neatly at the curb or driveway. If you have a lift gate and a pallet jack you are in great shape!

After the truck is unloaded you can take your time and move them carefully to the pre-selected spots where you will ‘pull’ it as you need it. Now is a good time to think about where you will be starting and place the wood in the appropriate amounts on the opposite side of the room from where you will begin your runs. 
 
For pick-ups we are just off of I-25 at exit 343 five hours south of Denver and two hours north of Albuquerque, one hour from Santa Fe NM. We are open from 8-5 but please call ahead for late pick-ups or other times. We will try to accommodate you!
